      President BESTA

       Assalamualaikum wrt.
        My Fellow Friends:

I stand here today humbled by the task before us, grateful for the trust you have bestowed, mindful of the sacrifices borne by our lecturers.
I would not be here without the unyielding support of my friend, the rock of our family and the love of my life.
I thank President Iswadi Idris for his service to our club, as well as the generosity and cooperation he has shown throughout this transition.

Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But I know we can face it together.

Our challenges may be new. The instruments with which we meet them may be new. But those values upon which our success depends - honesty and hard work, courage and fair play, tolerance and curiosity, loyalty and team work - these things are old. These things are true. They have been the quiet force of progress throughout our history. What is demanded then is a return to these truths. What is required of us now is a new era of responsibility - a recognition, on the part of every Bestanian, that we have duties to ourselves, our club, our nation, and the world.

For everywhere we look, there is work to be done. The state of the Besta's economy calls for action, bold and swift, and we will act - not only to generate money, but to lay a new foundation for growth. We will organize talks and seminars, the trips and sports that feed our commerce, strengthen our ukhuwah and bind us together. We will help student academically and support them mentally. All this we can do. And all this we will do.

This is our chance to answer that call. This is our moment. This is our time to help our friends, lecturers and ourselves.

That is the price and the promise of Biochemical-Biotechnology students. Bestanian, let's go change the world.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless the Biochemical Biotechnology Student’s Association.

Wabillahi taufiq walhidayah, asslkm wrt.
