The meeting was started by recitation of Al-fatihah and short tazkirah from Dr Tariq. Dr Zahangir is the one who chaired the meeting. The meeting then proceed with short introduction all the board members by Iswadi, president of BESTA.
He presented the almanac from all bureaus and upcoming event to be held by the committee members. After that, he opened any suggestion from the lecturer in upgrading the quality of our society. It was good responds from all the lecturers. They do care about our welfare and suggest that we can be more proactive in organizing good activities.
One of the suggestions was, promoting our department in our own hometown, so that we can encourage villagers among the youngster to choose Biotechnology as their field of study. This can be reality by doing programmes for primary school students and villagers.
Besides that, they also hope to see international student to be one of the members in BESTA.
Many others suggestion that we get from them. InsyaALLAH. With the time remainning, we will try our best in realizing the suggestion. However, support and attention is much needed from the department as well as the students.
The meeting was continued to the other agendas, but it was done with our part. After the dialogue with all the lecturers, we were let go around 4.15 pm.
